Acceptable use

Clutch is a marketplace for 3D-printable car parts. These rules apply to every upload, pledge, print order, comment, and profile on the site. Violations can result in content removal, forfeited pledges, refund reversal, payout holds, or account termination.

Prohibited content

Do not upload, post, or request:

• Illegal parts. Emissions-defeat devices, OEM anti-theft bypass components, parts that disable airbags or seat belts, weapons or firearm components, license-plate obscuring hardware, or anything a reasonable person would recognize as unlawful in the user’s jurisdiction.
• IP violations. Unauthorized copies or derivatives of copyrighted, trademarked, or patented parts. If you own or have licensed a design, say so in the description.
• Unlabeled safety-critical parts. Brakes, steering, restraints, structural, fuel-system, and high-pressure components must be uploaded with the FLAGGED_SAFETY category set. Suppressing this flag is grounds for account termination.
• Fraudulent or deceptive content. Fake fitment claims, misrepresented materials, stolen photos, or pledges posted to manipulate a pool.
• Malware or hostile files. Files containing executables, macros, or anything other than the part geometry and agreed metadata.
• Harassment, hate, or threats. No targeted abuse, slurs, doxxing, or incitement in comments, profiles, reports, or messages.
• Sexual content. Clutch is not a venue for sexual material.
• Spam, scraping, or automation abuse. No bulk duplicate uploads, keyword stuffing, fake pledges, artificial rating inflation, or unauthorized scraping.

Contributor obligations

• Pick an accurate license. CC0 and CC-BY are required for bounty submissions.
• Declare the fitment honestly — year range, make, model, trim where applicable.
• If your part touches any safety system, set the FLAGGED_SAFETY category. Verified reviewers must clear the part before it can auto-release against a bounty.
• We don’t sell prints of safety-flagged parts. Brakes, steering, restraints and structural components are download-only, permanently. The file stays free — anyone can download it, have it made, and fit it — but you can’t order one printed and shipped through Clutch, and no shop here will be paid to make one. Reviewer verification doesn’t change this: it means someone checked the model, not that anyone underwrote it failing at speed.

Printer obligations

• Only accept orders you can actually print on the material and timeline you advertised.
• Do not solicit off-platform payment from buyers or pledgers.
• Do not print a FLAGGED_SAFETY part without understanding the customer’s intended use and disclosing print parameters (material, infill, orientation, post-processing).
• Ship only to the address provided at checkout. If the part is undeliverable, coordinate with the buyer through the Service.

Buyer / pledger obligations

• Do not pledge on a bounty you intend to withdraw to manipulate the pool.
• Do not chargeback after accepting delivery. Disputes go through /contact first.
• You are responsible for installing and inspecting any printed part, especially anything flagged for safety.

Reporting

Use the report form to flag any content that violates this policy. Rights holders: see the DMCA procedure.

Enforcement

• First violation: content removed, warning logged.
• Repeat or severe violations: account termination, refund of pending pledges, forfeiture of pending payouts to offset losses where permitted by Stripe terms, and reporting to law enforcement where required.
• We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts at our discretion to protect users and the platform.
